Dear Exhibitor!
ExpoForum International Limited Liability Company offers to take advantage of the additional opportunities of participating in the own exhibitions of the company – to obtain the documents certifying your company’s participation in the event as well as the goods and services exhibited on it. The documents described below will help in patenting products with due account of the exhibition priority, as well as in proving the due use of a trade mark on the territory of the Russian Federation by displaying the product on the exhibition.
The documents will be executed free of charge for all exhibitors of the company’s own events!
What are these documents? What are they for?
- Certificate on the exhibit item display at the exhibition. It can be used for obtaining the so-called «exception to lack of novelty», that is an opportunity to disclose information on the essence of the subject of patenting by the author or the right holder before the date of priority. If the exception to lack of novelty is established, the disclosure of the information is not a circumstance preventing recognition of patentability of the subject of patenting.
- Certificate on the trademark display. The Certificate implies demonstration of the product with the use of the designation which is planned to be further registered by Exhibitor as a trademark, and may be used for the purposes of claiming exhibition priority. Establishment of the exhibition priority enables to recognize the date of the trademark priority not from the date of application submission but from the date when an exhibit item is openly displayed at the exhibition. Such certificates are also used to confirm demonstration of goods by a certain person using a certain designation, in order to solve any potential issues related to misleading of the customer, which may arise in the course of the trademark registration.
- Reference on the exhibit item demonstration using the registered trademark. A document is the proof of the trademark use on the territory of the country in case an application on early termination of the trademark legal protection due to non-use thereof is filed.
Distant participation includes the following:
- On the first day of the exhibition work the exhibitor should submit an application for issuance of a certificate/reference to the Directorate of Own Events of ExpoForum International.
- The Exhibitor shall append to the application the description of the exhibit item or of the trademark placed on the exhibit item for which he/she claims for the Certificate.
- During the period of the official exhibition operation, photographs of the exhibit item/the trademark placed on the exhibit item shall be taken either by the Exhibitor or by the Operator of the exhibition center.
- The Certificate/Reference shall be issued with respect to each exhibit item or the trademark.
- The Certificate/Reference shall be signed by the Director of the exhibition/ Manager of the project and shall be laced-up, numbered and sealed with the Company’s seal together with the appendices (description, photos, an exhibition status certificate).
- The executed Certificate shall be issued by the Exhibition Directorate to the Exhibitor’s authorized representative against signature (receipt of the Certificate is marked by the Exhibitor on the Certificate xerox copy) on the last day of the Exhibition dismantling or within 20 (twenty) days upon termination of the Exhibition operation.
