A catering company being a part of ExpoForum group of companies became the award winner for the new interpretation of the high cuisine which «Caramel Catering» presented at the immersive oratory «Amor and Psyche» and made the Russian first offsite restaurant.

 

The ceremony of awarding the best projects from various business industries implemented in 2023 according to «Business Petersburg» took place on April 25 at «Ambassador» hotel. Sergey Korneev, Chairman of St. Petersburg Tourism Development Committee, took part in the event.

«I think that the authors and thought leaders of the «Project of The Year» make the Northern Capital still brighter. Together we are forming the modern image of our city – dynamic, creative, developing and directing to the future», noted the agency head.

In 2023, «Caramel Catering» implemented several ambitious projects. One of the most remarkable is development of a special set for loving couples – participating spectators of the immersive oratory «Amor and Psyche», the first night of which took place in ExpoForum on February 14. Each item in the menu was to add a savory flair to the procedure on stage, and the show of a delivery impressed. Scallop with pearl-like caviar, sea foam and oyster leaves made their appearance on tables during the first episode of the oratorio – The Sacrament of Craft – to symbolize the birth of Psyche. Charcoal prawns with a spicy Japanese sauce «illustrated» the part called Requiem for Separation about overcoming obstacles. The vanilla mousse with edamame beans and cherry coulis was served to celebrate the happy ending of the story. Each dish was accompanied with a drink specially selected by a sommelier.

 

«We decided to improve this idea, said Viktoriia Ivanova, General Director of the catering company, during a year I and my team have travelled a lot, learned, tasted, experimented and created a new product. The first Russian offsite restaurant combining high gastronomy and audio storytelling. A performance with food as the main character is waiting for the guests. Full immersion in the atmosphere is achieved by working with all sense organs. We carefully transfer special sensations, conditions, ideas of meals through the artistic devices».

At the end of 2023, «Caramel Catering» opened a «Teplo» cafe, which became a new attraction point for all guests and participants of the events held in the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It should be noted that in 2023, the company became a laureate of the «Petersburg Brands Rating ‒ 2023».
