7 healthcare facilities will be built in St. Petersburg for 19 billion rubles by the end of this year

In total, 76.7 billion has been allocated for the construction and equipment of healthcare facilities in the Northern Capital until 2025. How to build so that hospitals and clinics are convenient for both doctors and patients was discussed on October 4 at the discussion site “Construction Technologies in the Healthcare Sphere” at Expoforum at SPIHF-2023.

Andrey Pakhomov, head of the department for the development of healthcare institutions of the Health Committee of St. Petersburg, shared his plans for the construction and design of hospitals and clinics in the city. According to him, every year, funding for the Targeted Investment Program for the implementation of measures to develop the healthcare system of St. Petersburg increases. In 2023, 12.4 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of medical facilities; in 2024, this amount will increase to 20.4 billion rubles, and in 2025 – to 33.9 billion rubles.

“The design of modern medical institutions is carried out not only from a functional point of view, but also from an aesthetic one,” the expert noted.

Chief Physician of the State Budgetary Institution of St. Petersburg I. I. Dzhanelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, Dmitry Kandyba shared his experience of working in the new emergency medical care building, which opened in 2022. The high-tech and multifunctional building has modern medical equipment, 7 multidisciplinary operating rooms, and a large data processing and storage center. For the convenience of doctors, digital document flow is provided, markings are placed on the walls indicating the departments, and a recognition system for patients’ personal belongings is installed at the reception desk so that they do not get lost. At the same time, the chief physician focused on the importance of developing the design of the future medical facility directly with the medical staff, so that the functionality of the premises would be convenient for both doctors and patients.

Experience in implementing projects in the field of construction of medical facilities was shared by: General Director of Hosser Engineering Bureau LLC Sergey Furmanchuk, marketing specialist of Alternative Science JSC Natalia Kuzmenko, project manager of Layered Plastics Plant LLC Maria Kozlova, and deputy director of the center for working with customers of Radar MMS JSC Denis Smirnov.
