The hackathon brought together the efforts of doctors, engineers and IT to create unique technologies
Students of medical, engineering and information technology departments of the Institute of Medical Education of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Almazov National Medical Research Center”, St. Petersburg State University and ITMO University, gathered at the Expoforum to combine knowledge and jointly create information products and devices useful for medicine.
“The exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge gives a unique result that allows the development of medical technologies,” noted Igor Akulin, head of the Department of Healthcare Organization and Medical Law at the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University, at the opening of the event.
As Viktoria Korzhuk, curator of the Hackathon and head of the Security of Medical Solutions and IoT department at ITMO University, noted, competition participants will be able to use the experience and knowledge gained when writing their final qualifying works, as well as put forward a promising development for a grant.
The Hackathon is one of QuantoriUM's Young Medicine events. QuantoriUM Young Medicine takes place from October 4 to 6 as part of the XI St. Petersburg International Health Forum. The organizer of QuantoriUM is the ANO SoBytie with the support of the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations.
